ABOUT ARTIST

We are happy to announce Sushmita Paul's diverse and dynamic role at Paul's Fine Art. Her ability to blend creativity with a variety of artistic mediums, from pencil sketch to oil painting, tie-dye to fashion painting, portrait to sculpture, terracotta to ceramics, showcases her versatility and passion for artistic expression.

Sushmita's early exposure to various sectors of art, including folk design, terracotta, landscape, portrait, still life, sketching, oil painting, clothing painting, stage decoration, henna design, sculpture, and mixed media, illustrates her diverse and immersive approach to the arts. Her emotional engagement with artwork has driven her to explore and master a wide range of skills and techniques.

Her experience as a visionary artist in the multicultural environment of the UK, particularly at Departure Art and Café, where she participated in exhibitions and had her mural drawing published in the newspaper, demonstrates her adaptability and creative contributions on an international scale. In the multicultural environment of London, she found her clear objective: to establish Bangladeshi traditional art and design culture within her local community by introducing new techniques, creative ideas, and media.

Sushmita's educational background, including Bachelor degree in Fine Art (DU) and Diploma in Art & Design from Tower Hamlet College in London, showcases her dedication to refining her skills. Her exploration of mixed media and colour theory adds depth to her artistic repertoire.

She further extended her artistic prowess through her Diploma in Fashion & Textile and launching her clothing brand, where she painted on sarees, salwar-kameez sets, long blouses, and T-shirts. Outside of her artistic pursuits, Sushmita enjoys visiting art festivals and galleries, taking photographs, and observing people and their behaviours in different environments. Her appreciation for the natural world and its impact on people informs her artistic perspective.

It's inspiring to see her draw inspiration from renowned artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Wassily Kandinsky, August Macke, and Lyonel Feininger. By aligning herself with the innovative and influential works of these artists, Sushmita Paul is contributing to the continuum of modern Expressionism.

Her collaboration with Purple Art & Design's graphic design team for illustration and logo design further underscores her ability to integrate her artistic talents into various creative domains.
